Enthusiastic writing

One of the crappy things about not having a patron who supports my writing is I have to stop writing. It’s not usually a problem because I don’t often get enthusiastic about the act of writing. I used to get enthusiastic about it. In my youth. Today I’m far more pragmatic. I devise constraints to make it possible achieve my writing goals. But writing on a time budget sucks. If you’re writing for an hour and you want to keep writing but have to stop, it kills that impulse. Sure, the dying impulse gets broken down like planarian worms. The Anatomy Lesson FTW. But it’s still unfortunate and minutely tragic.
