My wife and I have a Christmas tradition. We watch movies all day. With the three cats, it’s near impossible to travel around the holidays. It’s been at least four years, maybe five. Since then, we’ve been figuring out movie themes. This year we did eighties kid’s movies. Last year we finished up the Star Trek movies we hadn’t watched (i.e. I didn’t have posts up on The Stop Button). The year before we did eighties musicals (plus Grease). The year before the musicals, I think she traveled and I stayed with the cats, based on the posts from that time. It’s a fun tradition, gets me to watch things I wouldn’t, but it’s also sort of unpleasant. Outside the Star Trek marathon, we’ve never watched anything good. Maybe next year something good. But part of the fun is not thinking too much. It’s Christmas after all.
