Built-in revision

So I’ve written before about how important I think integrating a revision process into the time spent drafting a project. My example was writing Friday, basically editing Saturday to Thursday, writing Friday. Obviously, this setup was because I wasn’t in grad school anymore and I had to keep the project alive in my brain without even MFA at an art school academic anxiety and adrenalin. If anything, the atmosphere makes you even more hyperactive. But without such an environment, I had to come up with a system. And now I’ve got the one for the next project. It integrates the work I’ve done, integrates two very different further revision drafts, and leaves things hopefully in a state no longer needing a sesmic edit, just minor ones. Maybe. I was just more impressed I figured out what I had to do tomorrow to still have time to watch movies.
